Well I’m starting to feel like the UnrealEd skills are flooding back. They changed up some of the ways things are done in UnrealEd 3 but it’s not real far off. Continued learning on weekends/evenings/lunches will get me back to a point where I can help lead a team to do some kickass level design and maybe get a little bit of recognition for all parties involved. Some stuff I really enjoy doing.

On a day full of inspiration I thought I’d add just a little bit more. This CGT piece was done by a designer out of Azerbaijan and I just thought it had to get a little more pimping because it is Fan-Freakin-Tastic. Be sure to watch this one beginning to end, you will be amazed one guy can direct, CG, Effects and render this stuff himself. 105 days of work and worth every minute!

I personally love when I get to see a company do incredibly creative work and deliver visuals that even I can’t figure out how the hell they did it. One of our latest projects to hit the creative afterburner has been 6MonthSmiles.com. Six Month Smiles™ is an alternative to the usual metal braces used to fixing miss-aligned teeth. Six Month Smiles™ utilizes clear braces to gently straighten teeth in an average time of only six months! By focusing on the teeth that show when you smile and not making significant bite changes, your dentist can comfortably straighten your teeth and give you the attractive, pleasant smile you've always wanted.
MudBrick has been contracted to deliver a new and more progressive site design in addition to content management and some custom application development.
MudBricks content management platform 4Site (http://www.4sitecms.com) will be used to deliver the content management piece of the project. 4Site is a Microsoft .NET CMS that is modular in design and provide contextual editing of content.
The project has already gotten very good reviews from 6 Month’s users and they have been getting tons of traffic since launch. The company is also expanding and hiring new staff to deal with demand. Awesome stuff!
Just thought I’d share these with everyone. A unique style of video production using what looks like a combination of stop motion and multi track camera’s with some CGI to get a very stylistic look. Totally awesome stuff and worthy of a blog post to show off what could be a very unique replacement for the old school Bullet Time.
This video is awesome…lol When I get older my son is going to have to deal with his gamer dad and reviewing the girls he brings home I’m sure…lol

This application requires a facebook login to get into. You realize after you login why that is, the video is composited from facebook profile info on the fly from your profile. Very cool use of technology and cross promotion with Facebook may start to be much more common.

I know a lot of people are probably shaking their heads and wondering why anyone would go to the live action GI Joe flick. Well I’m here to say I’ll be there when it opens. I grew up on GI Joe as a kid and as an adult, anything that takes you back is a good thing usually. Look for a new look from MudBrick early next week. Our new site is still in production but we have a very sexy interim taste for everyone that will go live early next week. In the meantime I thought I’d share a blog design we did during our initial blog redesign phase that was hot but maybe a little too edgy for some of our customers. Still we like to show some style every once in a while.

Thought I’d share some design coolness that didn’t get chosen by the customer but would have been a different flavor for their new site either way. This design would have been a one-page site (vertical scrolling) using JavaScript to scroll between nav sections and subnav content. This would have been a very unique build for us using our CMS 4Site (http://www.4sitecms.com) compared to other sites we’ve developed.
The customer was torn between this style design and the one they chose which is awesome! Our team totally crushed this project and left nothing on the table. Looking forward to delivering it possibly before end of month.

Some very cool demo work here of Alternativa 3d Flash engine. We are getting closer and closer to the possibility of real time 3d rendered interactive environments and possibly FPS games in the browser window that will work at a reasonable framerate.

One of our design wizards just brought to my attention that the design we did for the Harrisburg BarCamp has some primary placement on the Axis Apparel website. We did two separate shirt designs for this event and both are in their samples gallery. Both came out cool but pricey using Axis for the screen printing.
